New FDA Regulations to Allow CVS, Walgreens to Dispense Abortion Pills

Welcome to America, circa 2022. Where you will be able to buy abortion pills with your candy bars and toilet paper in the near future.

On Tuesday, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on their website that they are loosening abortion pill distribution regulations, which will now allow major pharmacy chains like CVS and Walgreens to carry them.

The FDA website was updated to reflect the new guidelines, which now allows pharmacies to carry a drug called “mifepristone.” When mifepristone is used with misoprostol, fetal death occurs.

Just like that, people will be able to murder their unborn babies even easier.

Lifesite News reports:

Pharmacies can become certified to distribute the drug by completing an agreement form, as previously reported by LifeSiteNews.

Shortly after, CVS and Walgreens, announced that their companies would be going through the process of certification in the hopes of being approved to dispense mifepristone. Both companies, which are the nation’s largest retail pharmacies, will need to complete a “Pharmacy Agreement Form” before they are legally allowed to carry the drug.

Although women will still need a prescription to access the abortion pill, the updated guidelines allow for them to avoid picking up the drug at a doctor’s office.

Pro-life leaders have sounded the alarm on the danger that these pills cause not only unborn babies but also the women taking them. According to Students for Life of America (SFLA), the FDA is purposefully ignoring the health risks for women who take the drugs.

“The FDA doesn’t seem to care who dies after taking chemical abortion pills, as long as a baby’s life is also ended,” said SFLA president Kristan Hawkins in a press release on Friday. “Even as the death count of women taking chemical abortion pills has gone up along with the distribution of these deadly drugs, they claim there is nothing new to consider. This reckless abuse of power makes it easier for abortion vendors to profit by ignoring the needs of women.”

The Family Research Council also started a petition to stop pharmacy chains from being able to sell the pills.

They tweeted, “Walgreens and CVS have indicated they plan to complete the FDA certification process to begin distributing the abortion pill. Tell CVS and Walgreens: stop attempting to sell these harmful drugs in your retail pharmacies.”

FRC then called for people to add their name to the petition. Will you add yours?
