‘The View’ Predicts Trump Has Hidden ‘Pocket Pardon’ to Prep for Indictment

On Friday, The View co-host Sunny Hostin couldn’t contain her excitement that former President Donald Trump was indicted, but pushed a theory that he probably has a “pocket pardon” to get out of it.

Thursday evening, news broke that former President Donald Trump was indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg following his investigation into the “hush money” paid to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016. However, Trump has declared the case a “witch hunt” and maintains his innocence.

Hostin told her coworkers that she is pumped about Bragg’s New York case because Trump won’t be able to pardon himself in the event that he has a blank pardon somewhere, given it is a state crime rather than a federal crime.

“What’s wonderful in my opinion as a former federal prosecutor is that a president cannot pardon himself from state crimes,” she said.

Co-host Ana Navarro chimed in with a joke about Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner offering their children “matching mugshots” of their grandfathers. Real classy.

“They can give their children the distinction of having matching mugshots for both of their grandfathers. You can pick whether you want [Charles] Kushner or Donald Trump,” she laughed.

Trump is currently facing several investigations, including Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Justice Department probes into his alleged mishandling of classified documents under the Espionage Act as well as his conduct during the January 6 “insurrection” at the Capitol.

“I think that he has a pocket pardon somewhere in some safe somewhere,” Hostin said.

She gleefully shared the “juicy nugget” of information that one of the judges in the Bragg case was previously on a case involving the Trump Organization, in which the company was allegedly found guilty of tax fraud.

It’s a bit disgusting to be so joyful about Trump being targeted, once again. The left continuously goes after him because they know he is the only one who can drain their dirty swamp water. And every single time they have gone after him, he has come out on top. What does that tell you?
