Sen. McConnell Declares ‘GarageGate Should Be Treated Like Mar-a-Lago’

Over the course of the last week and a half, there have been THREE separate reports of classified material being found stashed in three different locations by President Joe Biden, from when he was vice president. First, documents were found in his old office at the Penn Biden Center, followed by a box in his garage, and then another stack of documents in his Delaware home. A scandal that many people are now referring to as “GarageGate.”

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell declared that Biden’s gross mishandling of classified documents should be treated “exactly the same way” as they treated former President Donald Trump.

He said during an interview with Terry Meiners on Kentucky’s NewsRadio 840 WHAS that Attorney General Merrick Garland made the correct move in appointing Robert Hur as special counsel over the investigation of Biden and his handling of the documents.

“I think the attorney general probably did the right thing by having two special counsels,” McConnell stated. “What’s good for one candidate for president ought to be good for another one.”

McConnell was referring to the fact that last year, the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in search of alleged classified documents that they claim he removed from the White House when he left. However, they did not find the droids they were looking for….

Now, actual classified documents times three have been found mishandled by Biden, and the FBI is twiddling their thumbs.

And when the White House is pressed on the issue, they throw the blame, accusing House Republicans of “playing politics.”

“House Republicans have no credibility,” said White Houses spokesperson Ian Sams said on Monday. “Their demands should be met with skepticism and they should face questions themselves about why they are politicizing this issue and admitting they actually do not care about the underlying classified material.”

“President Biden is doing the right thing and is cooperating fully with a thorough review, but House Republicans are playing politics in a shamelessly hypocritical attempt to attack President Biden,” Sams added.
