It was only a matter of time before one of the far-left “squad” members reared their ugly head again.
This time, Democrat Rep. Cori Bush slandered black Republican Byron Donalds, claiming that he is a “prop” who will push “white supremacy” in Congress.
Bush went into a fury on Wednesday when she learned that Donalds is being considered for Speaker of the ouse, and declared that him being included as a potential candidate is “pathetic.”
“[For what it’s worth], [Donalds] is not a historic candidate for Speaker. He is a prop,” Bush tweeted “Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy.”
She added, “His name being in the mix is not progress—it’s pathetic.”
So, because he is black and uses his brain to think differently than the left, he is just a prop and pushing white supremacy? GIVE ME A BREAK!
Later that day, Donalds clapped back at Bush, calling her a “crab in a barrel!”
He tweeted, “Nobody asked [Bush] her opinion on the matter. Before you judge my agenda, let’s have a debate over the policies and the outcomes. Until then, don’t be a crab in a barrel!” he tweeted.
After House Republicans failed to elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, the House Freedom Caucus nominated Donalds for the position. He received 20 votes in his bid for speaker.
While nominating Donalds on Wednesday, Rep. Lauren Boebert described him as a man who “knows what tough times look like.”
“My colleagues and I have worked tirelessly for months to build consensus, to negotiate in good faith, to help unify our party on border security, energy security, debt reduction, term limits,” she declared. “Too often our efforts have fallen on deaf ears.”
