Rasmussen Poll: Most American Voters Believe the FBI Has Become Biden’s Personal Gestapo

On Thursday, Rasmussen released a poll showing that 53 percent of voters agree with the statement that there is “a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI … as Joe Biden’s personal Gestapo.”

For those of you who failed history class, the Gestapo was the secret police force of the Nazis. The Nazis were left-wing socialists who used the Gestapo as a brute force law enforcement agency to help the Nazi government “fix” things.

This belief is strong among Republicans where 76 percent say they believe the FBI is now acting like the Gestapo. Fifty-seven percent of Democrats disagree. Of course, they disagree, because they’re not yet the target of the federal Gestapo.

Overall, among both parties, 49 percent agree and 38 percent disagree that the FBI is acting as President Biden’s “personal Gestapo.” Add the independents and it’s a clear majority that voters believe the FBI is being used as Biden’s personal Gestapo.

About 76 percent of Republicans agree with Roger Stone’s quote about the FBI leadership using the law enforcement agency as “Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo,” while 57 percent of Democrats disagree. Stone was a former adviser to President Trump who was harassed by the FBI and DOJ in a pre-dawn raid of his home and CNN just happened to be there to cover it.

Among independent voters, 49 percent agree with the “Gestapo” quote, while 38 percent disagree. Fourteen percent said they are not sure.

The survey was conducted of 1,000 likely voters between August 15 and August 16, a week after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

One of the questions in the poll was, “Did the FBI’s recent raid on the Florida home of former President Donald Trump make you trust the FBI more or trust the FBI less? Or did the Trump raid not make much difference in your trust in the FBI?”

Can you believe that half of the Democrats surveyed answered that the Mar-a-Lago FBI raid made them trust the FBI more? At the same time, 70 percent of Republicans said the FBI raid made them trust the bureau less. Forty-six percent of independent voters said the raid on the former president’s home made them trust the FBI less, and only 18 percent said it made them trust the FBI more. Those are obviously the TDS sufferers.

What may have caused the disparities in how voters perceive the FBI raid is probably party affiliation. Democrat-leaning news networks do not show the FBI harassment while Republicans see it each and every day. If you don’t know how much it’s been going on because the news networks you watch intentionally don’t report on it, then, of course, you’re going to have a better perception of the FBI Gestapo.

Only 30 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of the FBI. Again, that’s because they understand that they themselves could be a target of the FBI at any time. Attorney General Merrick Garland once sicced the FBI on parents who complained to school board members about the racist critical race theory and gender identity being taught to their young children in the classroom and Democrats never experienced that because either they’re ignorant of what’s been going on at their children’s schools or they agree with teaching their children to be racists while being sexualized in the classroom.

On the contrary, 75 percent of Democrats in general have a favorable view of the FBI. Republicans would too if Joe Biden didn’t use them as a personal Gestapo.

There are also complaints about the FBI being involved in egging on January 6 protesters to go into the Capitol building. Ray Epps worked for the FBI and was caught on tape urging protesters to storm the building. The FBI also had an informant inside the Proud Boys group who reported that the Proud Boys broke no laws and were commended by Capitol Police for helping grab and pull protesters out of the Capitol building.

The informant reported to his FBI superiors that the Proud Boys:

“were not involved in, nor did they inspire the breaking of the barriers at the Capitol building. CHS describe the scene as the crowd doing it as a “herd mentality,” and that it was not organized. The crowd was shouting ‘stop the vote,’ as they made their way to the Capitol building. There were no overt threats of violence made at that time.”

The informant, James Ehren Knowles, said that his FBI handlers tried to get him to lie and say that the Proud Boys broke laws. Even after the informant told the FBI, they were barking up the wrong tree; they indicted the Proud Boys anyway, because that’s what the Democrats wanted. And remember, Trump was still the president on that day.

It’s going to get a lot worse if the people using the FBI against their political opponents aren’t held accountable.
