KJP Stonewalls Reporters, Refuses to Answer Questions on Mishandled Classified Docs

On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stonewalled reporters asking about the classified documents found in an old office of President Joe Biden, from when he was Vice President.

When reporter Ed O’Keefe pressed for details, Jean-Pierre replied, “Ed, we don’t need to have this. We work very well together. We don’t need to have this kind of confrontation.”

“It is literally under review right now. As I am talking to you it is under review, so I am not going to get beyond the process. I am not going to get beyond what the president said,” she added.

Don’t need this kind of “confrontation”? Really? A reporter asks for details on a MASSIVE scandal regarding the president mishandling sensitive documents and that is considered confrontation?

The documents were found by Biden’s personal attorneys in the Penn Biden Center, just days before midterm elections in November. Yet the White House kept it under wraps, and we did not learn about it until earlier this week.

Once lawyers realized that they were sifting through a box containing sensitive documents, they stopped digging and alerted the Department of Justice. So although we definitely know that there are roughly ten documents that were mishandled, there could be many more.

Of course Biden is playing dumb (or maybe he isn’t playing….) and declared on Tuesday that he is “surprised” to hear about the existence of the documents, noting that he doesn’t know what they are.

“He has said he doesn’t know what is in them,” Jean-Pierre told reporters. “So, there’s no way for me to talk about the documents if he has said he doesn’t know what’s in them.”

She also refused to answer questions being asked about WHY the lawyers were going though boxes of papers in Biden’s office:

And why the White House did not “inform the American people when these documents were discovered” rather than waiting weeks for the information to come out.

A reporter asked, “Did it have anything to do with the fact that the election was just a few days away?”

Jean-Pierre argued that the White House is being transparent in the matter.

“We released information that was very transparent,” she said, “I know you all are going to have a lot of questions, I get that and I understand that, but I’m not going to go beyond the process.”
