On Friday, Aric Hutchinson married the love of his life, Samantha “Sam”, on Folly Beach in South Carolina. The two then attended their wedding reception where they celebrated their new lives together.
Sadly, as the couple was escorted from the reception, a drunk driver plowed into the golf cart they were on, tragically killing Sam, and sent Aric to the hospital in critical condition.
Aric’s mother, Annette Hutchinson, explained the situation on a GoFundMe page to raise money for Sam’s burial costs and Aric’s hospital bills.
Annette began, “Hi, my name is Annette Hutchinson, I am the mother of Aric Hutchinson, the groom. Aric lost the love of his life when my new daughter-in-law Samantha “Sam” Hutchinson was tragically killed by a drunk driver moments after the picture above while leaving her wedding reception on April 28th in Folly Beach, South Carolina. My son is now in critical condition.”

She wrote, “My son-in-law Benjamin Garrett and grandson Brogan Garrett from Morgan, Utah were escorting the couple from the reception in a golf cart when they were struck from behind by a drunk driver traveling 65 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. The golf cart was thrown over 100 yards and rolled several times.”
