‘Bloody Monday’: Don Lemon Fired By CNN

Far left cable news host Don Lemon on Monday announced that he has been fired from CNN without any advanced notice.

In a statement that one “stunned” Lemon tweeted this morning, the former CNN commentator accused the network of abruptly terminating him through his agent, rather than coming to him directly to share the bad news.

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly,” Lemon claimed.

“At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play,” he continued.

“With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best.”

CNN’s public relations team has dismissed Lemon’s claims and said he was “offered an opportunity to meet with management” at the network prior to his termination “but instead released a statement on Twitter.”

News of Lemon’s departure from the anti-Trump network came shortly after Fox News Media announced that they had parted ways with their top anchor, Tucker Carlson, host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We Thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the network said in a statement.

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named,” Fox News Media said.

Carlson began his media career in the 1990’s and has had shows on multiple cable television news networks spanning from CNN, PBS, and MSNBC before joining Fox News in 2009.

The host ascended into political stardom in the years leading up to the first episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in November of 2016, which quickly turned into one of the nation’s most popular news broadcasts in American history.
