On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre assured reporters that President Joe Biden “has done the work” to secure our southern border, despite the fact that the number of illegal immigrants crossing over continues to skyrocket.
When asked about the ending of Title 42, which allows U.S. authorities to turn immigrants away due to the pandemic emergency, and one of the few tools that the Biden Administration retained from former President Donald Trump’s policies, Jean-Pierre said, “What Americans should know is that the president has done the work to deal with what we’re seeing at the border since Day One.”
She then accused the Trump administration of “gutting” the immigration system and then claimed that Biden has “secured record funding” for border security.”

As if her lying wasn’t enough of a slap in the face, she also accused Republicans of harming the border security by refusing to legalize illegal immigrants in failing to pass the “comprehensive immigration reform.”
“We continue to see political stunts from many Republicans out there and that’s not how we’re going to fix this issue. They want to secure the border, we’ve been doing that work on our own, and we’re asking them to hey, you know what [sic], there’s an immigration reform plan that the president put out on the first day, they should work with us and do this in a bipartisan way,” she said.
The fact of the matter is, Biden has NEVER made a formal visit to the border during his political career. Just last week, he refused to visit the border while he was in Arizona because he has “more important things going on.”
What is more important to the leader of a country than literally protecting the land he is leading? The border crisis continues to worsen as Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris ignore it, and the White House lies to Americans about their involvement.
Jean-Pierre was immediately ripped on Twitter for her blatant misinformation. Republican National Committee rapid response staffer Jake Schneider tweeted, “This might be the most egregious lie I’ve heard from this pathetic administration. Anyone with eyeballs can see Democrats haven’t done jack to secure the border.”
Steve Guest, special advisor for communications for Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted that KJP’s statement is “laughable.”
Congressman Cliff Bentz asked, “What? How? Where? When”.
