ROGAN: ‘Red Wave That’s Coming’ Will ‘Be Like the Elevator Doors Opening Up in the Shining’

Podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan made a bold prediction while sharing his thoughts about the upcoming midterm elections on November 8, predicting a red wave will sweep the country.

Rogan referenced Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 horror movie “The Shining”, and likened the coming “red wave” to the famous scene showing elevator doors open to unleash a torrent of blood on the hallway.

He made the prediction while discussing public opposition to the Democrats and their agenda, and essentially claimed that the majority of Americans are remaining silent and will express their true opinions at the ballot box.

“There are a lot of people that are afraid of talking about it,” said Rogan. “But they’re not afraid of voting about it.”

“They’re afraid of getting attacked, and they’ll sit silently, when they’re amongst friends going, ‘What the f*** is going on? Like what is going on?’ And those people, that’s going to be responsible for the red wave,” said Rogan.

He then predicted, “I think the red wave that’s coming is going to be like the elevator doors opening up in ‘The Shining’. That’s what I think.

He added, “I think people are just like, ‘What the f*** are you saying?’ They’re making Republicans.”

For those unfamiliar with the scene Rogan referenced, enjoy:

Rogan’s guest, comedian Bridget Phetasy, offered anecdotal support for the podcaster’s thesis. She told Rogan she had a “diehard liberal” “boomer” family member recently defect.

“They told me when I was home this summer that they would vote for DeSantis,” Phetasy relayed. “And I’m like, ‘how did you lose this person?’ How did you lose this person? This is a – this is a like – go to the ballot and vote blue no matter what. And you’ve lost even the boomers.”

Rogan, though remaining a diehard moderate, has repeatedly predicted big wins for Republicans this November.

In August, during a conversation with Aaron Rogers, Rogan suggested Americans “vote Republican” to punish Democrats for their COVID-19 hysteria.

“That’s what a lot of them are going to do anyway,” he added.

He and Rogers also mocked Joe Biden as a “bullsh*t artist” who resorts to “dumb guy” antics to keep Americans at least somewhat onboard with his agenda.
