Megyn Kelly: Fox Viewers Dropping in Droves- ‘It’s a Bloodbath’

On Thursday, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly posted on social media, posting out just how hard of a hit that Fox has taken since they parted ways with top-rated host Tucker Carlson.

“You can’t compare Tucker’s Fri night ratings to this week’s Mon/Tue. (Fridays in prime are where ratings go to die.) Compare his last Mon/Tue to this week’s Mon/Tue. It’s a bloodbath: they lost HALF their audience,” Kelly wrote on Twitter, with a list of the numbers shared by journalist Brian Stelter.

On Monday, Fox News announced the shocking news that it was parting ways with Carlson and thanked him “for his service to the network” in a released statement.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the press release read. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21,” the network added. “Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

Kelly’s followers weighed in with their thoughts on the whole situation.

On person said that they “cancelled all things FOX” and that they knew others who did the same.

Another wrote, “Only the beginning of their collapse.”

This week, following his departure, Carlson posted a video speaking about the decency of his fellow Americans.

“One of the first things you realize, when you step outside the noise for a few days, is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country,” he declared. “Kind and decent people. People who really care about what’s true and a bunch of hilarious people also. A lot of those. It’s got to be the majority of the population. Even now. So that’s heartening,”
