‘Got Damn Boy!’: Biden Attempts Southern Drawl During Florida Remarks

Joe Biden, 79, affected a strange attempt at a Southern accent while delivering remarks about the state of the U.S. economy at a campaign stop in Florida.

As he was muttering something about Republicans “going after Medicare and Social Security,” Biden attempted to use a phrase in a Southern accent in a fashion that left many observers, particularly on the right, scratching their heads in confusion.

“As they say in Southern, ‘doesn’t know where y’all been. Got damn boy,'” the Biden said.

Biden, who was born in in Pennsylvania and moved to Delaware at a young age – both northern states – has never resided in any Southern state in his entire life.

In addition to his strange attempt at sounding Southern, Biden also claimed to have spoken to the man who “invented” Insulin, who died before the president was born.

“How many of you know somebody with diabetes that needs Insulin?” Biden asked attendees. “Well guess what, [inaudible] when Debbie and I passed this law, it included everybody, not just seniors.”

“And so what happened was, we said ‘Okay. You know how much it costs to make that Insulin drug for diabetes? Cost. It was invented by a man who did not patent it because he wanted it available for everyone — I spoke to him. Okay?”

As Valiant News reported, Biden additionally confused the war between Ukraine and Russia with the “war in Iraq,” before falsely claiming “that’s where my son died” as he corrected himself.

“Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq… Excuse me the war in Ukraine. I’m thinking of Iraq because that’s where my son died,” Biden claimed.

The Iraq War lasted from 2003 to 2011, and did not involve either Ukraine or Russia. Biden’s late son Joseph Robinette “Beau” Biden III never saw combat and ultimately died from cancer in 2015, contrary to the president’s false claims.

Biden eventually corrected himself again and accurately stated the true cause of his son’s death a few minutes later.
