Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) is spearheading a move to end the special governmental powers granted by the Covid-19 national emergency declaration in response to President Joe Biden’s declaration that “the pandemic is over.”
The Wall Street Journal reported, “With just over a month to go until the midterm elections, Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas on Thursday introduced a privileged resolution that calls for a vote to end the emergency declaration first declared in March 2020 by then-President Trump.”
“Joe Biden said the pandemic is over,” Marshall wrote on Twitter. “We will force a vote to make this happen by ending the COVID national emergency declaration. It’s long overdue. I expect Biden’s full support.”
Despite Biden’s claim that the pandemic is over, his administration continues to use the national emergency declaration to push for billions of dollars for vaccines, clinical trials, testing, and other Covid-related expenses.

According to a report from Politico, the comments from Biden were not expected by his health advisors, who had been caught “by surprise” at his remarks, which two administration officials told the outlet were not planned.
The declaration of victory over the covid pandemic from Biden comes as White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre explained that the fifth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was actually not a booster, but a new, improved, “updated” vaccine.
Anthony Fauci, the outgoing chief medical advisor in the Biden administration, declared earlier this month that Americans will have to be injected with the “updated” COVID-19 vaccines every year in order to stay safe and protected.
Biden stated in June that the US government needs to raise money via taxation to “plan for the second pandemic,” appearing to go off script in predicting “another pandemic.”
“I know you’re looking for more money from Congress for this vaccine campaign and for Covid funding going into the fall,” a reporter asked, “uh, how much of the supply of vaccines for these small children, uh, is there and how many of the nation’s kids will be vaccinated before you need more money from Congress?”
Biden replied, “Well, we’ll get through at least this year. We do need more money. But we don’t just need more money for vaccines for children, eventually. We need more money to plan for the second pandemic.”
“There’s going to be another pandemic,” Biden continued. “We have to think ahead, and that’s not something the last outfit did very well. That’s something we’ve been doing fairly well, that’s why we need the money.”
