Dan Crenshaw Lashes Out at Tucker Carlson After Being Called ‘The Snarling Face of the Donor Class’

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) started another altercation on social media platform Twitter this week, attacking Fox News’ Tucker Carlson after the latter dubbed him a “surrogate for Kevin McCarthy” and “the snarling face of the donor class.”

“If people oppose you in in a election, you typically try and win them over,” Carlson said on Wednesday. “You assuage their concerns, you promise them things, you wheel, you deal, you trade some horses, you massage their egos. You don’t scream at them.”

“And yet today, Congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas – surrogate for Kevin McCarthy – did [scream at them],” Carlson continued.

Carlson’s remarks were in response to Crenshaw’s claim that representatives not voting for McCarthy to be House Speaker are “terrorists.”

“So you may like Kevin McCarthy or not, but no matter how you feel you have to acknowledge – if you’re being honest – that people who don’t like Kevin McCarthy have a reason for that,” Carlson added. “They have real concerns, real issues.”

Carlson went to state that “What you just saw, as Dan Crenshaw was speaking, was the snarling face of the donor class.”

Crenshaw, known for becoming upset enough at critics to attack and insult them with vulgarity, immediately took to Twitter to express the negative emotions he felt towards Carlson’s monologue.

“Unclutch your pearls. It’s a figure of speech,” Crenshaw stated. “You can’t insult, slander, and hold everyone hostage with no way out – and not expect me to punch back. Grow thicker skin.”

Crenshaw became the focus of public ire in September after he attempted to shame and attack a conservative comedian who confronted him over policy differences this week.

Comedian and performance artist Alex Stein confronted Crenshaw over foreign policy differences on Wednesday. Crenshaw responded by trying and failing to grab Stein’s phone, and hurling a slew of insults at the comedian.

“Look, you’re too slow,” Stein jibed. “He’s too slow, Navy Seal. It’s funny Dan how you said I’m small, but I’m so much taller than you, Dan. I’m so much bigger than you.”

After Stein’s footage of the exchange went viral on Twitter, Crenshaw uploaded an edited video of the conversation in which he attempted to portray Stein as attacking him for being a military veteran.

“Well, America, this is what happens when our culture degrades boys and doesn’t teach them to be men,” Crenshaw wrote. “They end up like Alex Stein, a shameless, pathetic provocateur that is so desperate for clicks he will shame a group of veterans for their service. Just watch.”
