California Scraps Covid Vax Mandate for Students K-12

In a shocking yet relieving turn of events, the state of California has decided to drop their plan requiring children in grades K through 12 to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

This is due to Governor Gavin Newsom finally allowing the “state of emergency” expire this month, after three long years.

In 2021, the governor asserted that students in K-12 would be required to take the vaccine if they were attending full-time in-person classes. Shortly after that announcement, the policy implementation was postponed due to logistical reasons.

In 2022, Democrats introduced a bill to push the mandate through by adding it to the state’s required vaccinations to attend school.

However, the policy has been nixed with Newsom’s decision to let the state of emergency run out.

California Society for Respiratory Care (CSRC) tweeted on Friday, “Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the COVID-19 State of Emergency will end on February 28, 2023, charting the path to phasing out one of the most effective and necessary tools that California has used to combat COVID-19.”

I am sure many parent’s prayers have been answered by the ending of this policy. I know I would not ever allow my children to take that poison shot!

CalMatters reports:

The state has dropped its plan to require the COVID-19 vaccination for K-12 students as the state of emergency comes to an end Feb. 28, after nearly three years.

That said — “we continue to strongly recommend COVID-19 immunization for students and staff to keep everyone safer in the classroom,” the California Department of Public Health said in a statement.

The policy would have applied to all of California’s 6.7 million public and private students. But enforcing the requirement would have posed a challenge, given the vaccine’s waning immunity.

This should have never happened in the first place. The vaccine is experimental and NEVER should have been given to children. Especially as part of an unconstitutional mandate.

Last week, President Joe Biden also announced to Congress that the state of emergency and public health emergency for the United States, for the coronavirus pandemic, will finally be ending on May 11.

As Deadline reports, coronavirus will then be reclassified from a “pandemic” to an “endemic threat.”

Endemic essentially just means a disease that is spreading through the community as a normal, or expected level.
