ABC’s Hostin Cries: Shameful Veteran Caused Death of Jordan Neely

On Tuesday, ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin cried to her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” that she was “ashamed” of U.S. Marine veteran Daniel Penny for allegedly killing homeless man, Jordan Neely, with a chokehold on the New York subway after Neely behaved erratically, screaming and acting unhinged.

Co-host Joy Behar said, “My understanding is, if you go past eight seconds of the chokehold, the person is dead. Now, this marine should have known that. But maybe he made a mistake. Maybe he went too long, and this poor kid died.”

Hostin replied, “Let’s put this in context. Yes, he was on the train. I ride the train. I’ve been riding the train in New York City since I was 12 years old.

This is what he was doing: He was shouting that he was hungry, that he was thirsty and that he had little to live for. Hungry, thirsty, and little to live for.”

She added, “Where was the humanity of anyone who was on that train? I would have given him money. I would have tried to give him food.

I would have tried to help. This was someone in need. In desperate need. I’m ashamed that someone that was part of our armed forces decided to become a vigilante and kill him. That’s how I feel about it.”

Sunny forgot to mention how Neely had been arrested 44 times “for multiple assaults, attempted child abduction, drugs, and indecent exposure.

Officials say he had at least 43 cases of an “aided case,” where mental healthcare workers took him in for treatment.”

The day before his death he was under investigation for pushing someone on the tracks. There was currently an arrest warrant for Neely in the violent attack on an older woman.

As demonstrators cried out over the weekend, friends remembered a street performer who impersonated Michael Jackson. Neely’s friends also say this was a man who needed proper psychiatric help.

“When I hear that he was yelling and ranting, last time I checked, the penalty for ranting is not death,” Neely’s friend Lance Clarke said.

Yeah, he was a real winner.
