Targeted for Protecting Their Children

In September 2021, the National School Boards Association sent a letter to Merrick Garland and Joe Biden, branding parents as potential “domestic terrorists.” Days later, on October 4, the DOJ issued a memo activating Patriot Act powers against moms and dads who spoke out at school board meetings.

Since then, parents across America have been arrested, fined, banned from school grounds, and even jailed—not for crimes, but for exercising their First Amendment rights. Instead of listening to legitimate concerns about education, health, and religious freedom, school officials called in law enforcement. Federal, state, and local agencies acted in lockstep to monitor, intimidate, and prosecute parents who dared to speak.

Our Progress

PDJA has delivered its dossier of targeted parents to President Trump and the DOJ, met with senior Trump Administration leaders, and held a national press conference exposing this abuse. Thanks to our advocacy, Attorney General Bondi assigned legal allies including Ed Martin and Harmeet Dhillon to actively pursue justice in court.

Most importantly, we are pushing for a historic Executive Order—targeted for October 4, the anniversary of the DOJ memo—to deliver long-overdue relief and honor to these families.
