Justice is Owed, and It’s Past Due

Thomas Paine wrote about people who so exalted themselves above the rest that they were “distinguished like some new species.” He asked if they were “the means of happiness or of misery to mankind.”

For years, we have heard about “the DC elite,” mainly in reference to the super-wealthy and corrupt Uniparty politicians. But the new administration is different, isn’t it? It’s a populist movement where the everyday citizen matters, right?

Sadly, no…not so far.

The conservative side has its own elite class, a group that distinguishes itself like a “new species” and its members get preferential treatment. If you’re not part of their club, they will ignore you. (Believe me, I know.)

I find myself wondering which is worse: the intolerance of the Left, or the indifference of the Right.

The 14th Amendment ensures justice for all and equal protection under the law.

One of Attorney General Pam Bondi’s first actions was to defend Elon Musk. She promised “severe charges” against anyone targeting Tesla. “The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism,” she said in a DOJ release. “The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with that in mind, including in cases that involve charges with five-year mandatory minimum sentences. We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”

This is right and good. Political persecution is wrong, and I am among those who greatly appreciate the sacrifices Elon is making for our country. Justice should be swift. But not only for those with money, power and influence. No one should get expedited to the front of the line because they are “VIPs.”

The 14th Amendment ensures justice for all and equal protection under the law, but the new administration has not yet lived up to that ideal. There is a growing chorus of voices asking, “Where are the arrests? When will justice be done?”

Are some “more equal than others?”

I would ask, then, if some people are considered “more equal than others,” as the pigs in Orwell’s “Animal Farm” claimed, to justify giving power and privilege to a small elite. I doubt Mr. Musk would support that kind of preferential approach. (Understand, I am critiquing human nature, not individuals I’ve not met.)

Moses wrote, “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.” If we are truly a nation built on the pillars of Judeo-Christian values, then we must hold true to the proviso that, “all men are created equal” and all are entitled to equal treatment.

Tesla and Elon Musk enjoy the full protection of the U.S. government. So far, the rest of us have been left out to dry. OUR businesses were attacked, yet those who shut us down walk free.

When will Bondi direct the DOJ to atone for its sins?

Thousands of Americans were threatened, defamed, assaulted, arrested, imprisoned…but, who is going to fight for us? So far, not the new DOJ.

“There can be no truer principle than this,” wrote Alexander Hamilton, “that every individual of the community at large has an equal right to the protection of government.”

When is Pam Bondi going to demand justice for the many Americans targeted and attacked by the federal government over the last 4 years? When will she direct the DOJ to atone for its sins?

The federal government weaponized against everyday Americans for their political views—fraudulently designating concerned school parents as “domestic terrorists”; putting “election deniers” into prison; persecuting and punishing dissenting citizens in myriad ways; tearing down businesses and reputations without regard to constitutional law.

These people continue to suffer in silence, bearing the high price for standing up when it cost the most to do so. Many, if not most, have given up any hope of getting redress of their grievances from the government.

“Our country has forgotten all of us; they turned a blind eye to those who gave so much—and maybe turned the tide.” -Targeted School Mom

“Our country has forgotten all of us,” a school mom sent to prison in 2022 for questioning the quarantining of her healthy daughter texted me recently. “They turned a blind eye back then to those who gave so much—and maybe who helped turn the tide. They continue to forget us by not saying a word about what happened to those who stood up.”

“I pray that those now in power will right the wrongs that have been done to all the innocents these past several years. It would be nice if all of us who faced judicial persecution had our records and names cleared and were issued some sort of apology-but I won’t be holding my breath. God knows our stories, and our children know our stories, and in the end that is what matters.”

Yet, I think that what our leaders do now—or fail to do—matters greatly, both in this life and the next.

The American dream was violently ripped away from us because we held the line in the darkest of days. We spoke and we were censored; we stood and we were arrested; we persisted and we were threatened. Were it not for us, the present administration would not be here, and our nation would have fallen. And if God spared our nation because righteous people “stood in the gap,” then we risk having that grace withdrawn if we fail as the Psalmist said, to “vindicate the weak and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and destitute; rescue the weak and needy; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”

We are ALL entitled to the same care and attention the DOJ has given to Elon Musk.

A thin line of selfless patriots stood up to block a marxist color revolution with little more than courage and a love of our great country. But, sadly, they are “yesterday’s news.” They are not wealthy. They are not famous. But they are America. They are the heart and soul and sweat that is the lifeblood of our nation.

We are ALL entitled to the same care and attention the DOJ has given to Elon Musk, or else justice is not blind, and our great Republic is a fraud.

Thousands of people are familiar with my story. I have been fighting for justice and restitution over the last 5 years for many people including my family, but I keep getting doors slammed in my face by those whose sacred duty it is to serve people like me. Why?

“Justice is indiscriminately due to all, without regard to numbers, wealth, or rank.” -John Jay

The government admitted to wrongdoing by targeting parents as “domestic terrorists,” but we’ve been waiting 5 years and still no justice, no accountability, no help.

What we need is simple: to be restored to the Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness we enjoyed before Merrick Garland’s corrupt DOJ and the Biden administration weaponized our own government to politically abuse us.

“Justice is indiscriminately due to all, without regard to numbers, wealth, or rank,” wrote Founding Father, John Jay, yet the justice owed many is seriously past due.

So, I ask Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Congress and President Trump: WHEN do the rest of us get the justice WE are entitled to? Or does the promise of our Constitution only apply to those with privilege and power?
