[Nashville, TN]—June 11, 2026—To the White House, the Department of Justice, Attorney General Todd Blanche, Director Kash Patel, and all officials charged with addressing the federal targeting of American parents:
On behalf of Parents Demanding Justice Alliance (PDJA) and the targeted parents whose stories we have documented for years, we acknowledge your recent statements recognizing that concerned parents were subjected to improper federal scrutiny and targeting.
However, words alone are no longer sufficient.
Five years have passed since the targeting of parents began. Eighteen months have passed under the current administration. We do not need another report, study, or “investigation.” The House Weaponization Committee issued its findings on March 21, 2023. Executive Order 14147 itself reflects the conclusion that federal agencies were weaponized against American citizens.
At this point, the question is no longer whether wrongdoing occurred. The question is what will be done about it. Anything short of public and private apology and restitution of damages is just more theater, playing out the clock, and incurs deeper losses to the victims. While we are not critical people by nature, the unreasonable delay has cost the lives of parents to suicide because they said “the government doesn’t care.” Were we not persistent, more lives could be lost.
The targeted parent community deserves answers:
- Which FBI personnel have been disciplined, terminated, or otherwise held accountable?
- Which DOJ officials participated in or facilitated these actions, and have they been terminated?
- When will formal apologies be issued to the affected families?
- When will Merrick Garland and other violators face indictment?
- When will improperly collected records, files, and designations relating to targeted parents be identified, corrected, or destroyed?
- What restitution and relief will be provided to the families who suffered financial, professional, reputational, and personal harm?
PDJA has already provided the government with extensive documentation in good faith. Among other efforts:
- We compiled and submitted extensive evidence and testimony, available at RealFreedomTalk.com/PDJA.
- From 2023 through 2026, we appeared on national media programs, published articles, submitted letters, and personally presented evidence to members of Congress and government officials.
- In 2025, we officially hand-delivered a detailed Targeted Parents Dossier to the Department of Justice, Department of Education, and the White House.
- In July 2025, we organized a Capitol Hill press conference sponsored by Representatives Andy Ogles and Andy Biggs to highlight the experiences of targeted parents and present evidence directly to the American people. DOJ failed to attend.
- The following day, America First Legal released a key “smoking gun” report documenting communications among DOJ, NSBA, and Biden administration officials. It echoed documentation I had submitted 2 years previously.
Despite these efforts, the response we received was deeply troubling.
In a January 23, 2026 meeting at the DOJ, a senior official informed me that there was “no federal remedy” because this was a “state issue.” During that same discussion, parents were again referred to as “terrorists.” Rather than addressing the substance of those statements when they became public, DOJ officials chose to marginalize, exclude, and discredit those raising legitimate concerns.
The recent “Targeted Parents Round Table” unfortunately reinforced those concerns.
The documented victims, as well as PDJA leadership, were not invited to participate. Some were unaware the event was even taking place. We will soon deliver a formal petition objecting to the exclusion of targeted parents and the failure to include voices representing those most directly affected.
Respectfully, this approach does not rebuild trust.
Trust is rebuilt through transparency, accountability, restitution, and humility. Trust is rebuilt when institutions acknowledge mistakes, apologize to victims, and take meaningful corrective action.
The American people are a forgiving people. Many targeted parents have repeatedly stated that they are prepared to move forward if their government will simply be honest about what happened and take concrete steps to make it right.
But that requires more than statements; it requires action.
We urge the White House and Department of Justice to move beyond reports and rhetoric and toward meaningful relief, accountability, and restoration for the families who were harmed.
Your posture toward the parents and mismanagement brought out the demand. Bring us to the table or face us in court. Do the right thing, and you will find willing partners among the very people who have spent years seeking justice.
Respectfully,

Kelly John Walker
