According to reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is searching another one of President Joe Biden’s properties in connection with the Justice Department’s (DOJ) probe on his mishandling of classified material.
On Wednesday, Biden’s personal attorney Bob Bauer confirmed reports of the FBI searching the president’s beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware.
After news of the search broke, Bauer announced that the search was conducted in coordination with Biden’s attorneys and therefore did not need a warrant. He stated that the planned search was simply DOJ “standard procedures,” including doing the search without notifying the public in advance.
“Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware. Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate,” Bauer said at the time.
“The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate,” he added. “We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search.”
The Hill has since reported that no classified documents were found in the home:
The FBI conducted a search of the residence from 8:30 a.m. until noon on Wednesday …
“No documents with classified markings were found,” Bauer said. “Consistent with the process in Wilmington, the DOJ took for further review some materials and handwritten notes that appear to relate to his time as Vice President.”

As part of that search, agents collected notes and other materials from Biden’s time as vice president and a senator.
People have already begun raising eyebrows on the lack of evidence found considering it wasn’t a surprise search. Did this give Biden and his attorneys time to do a wipe of anything classified before the FBI arrived?

In November, the FBI conducted a search at the Penn Biden Center where the first box of classified documents were found in Biden’s former office.
In January, a second search was conducted at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home, where several more classified documents were uncovered.
Rehoboth made the third search in this investigation.
