How Conservative is Gen-Z? A High School Athlete Speaks Out

Being loud, drawing attention to oneself, or just censoring others doesn’t make a group the majority. If you wanted a spitting image of that you would get the liberals of Gen-Z.

“What is a liberal or a leftist?” you may ask. Well, the real answer to that is a person who is against America being great. They push policies that bring down the economy and ruin families. Hearing all that, one may be really concerned about the upcoming Gen-z population, but it may not be as bad as everyone thinks.

I can confidently say that 90% of all students are conservative.

Being a part of Gen-Z and a current student in high-school, I get to see the ins and outs of what really is happening, rather than what the media wants the everyday person to see. The media has pushed out the unquestioned idea of Gez-Z being a liberal-heavy generation, and it is a misconception. If anyone took time to go visit a school and see what really is happening it would be eye opening to many.

Yes, the left is loud and attracts a lot of attention, but truth be told we the conservatives are the silent majority. Walking through the hallways at my school you see people who look colorful have pride flags on their backpacks but the whole purpose of that is to catch one’s eye. When you start to look more attentively you will see students displaying the American Flag on their shirts, backpacks, hoodies and hats—and it’s everywhere!

“Freedom cannot be bestowed: it must be achieved.” Franklin D. Roosevelt

Being an athlete and hanging around the athletes at our school, 95% of them are all conservative. Why does this never come into the mainstream? Well, if you’re pushing an agenda that is not working and there is proof it isn’t, why would they? Athletes and students combined, there is a strong wave of conservative students that are not fairly being portrayed. I’ve been to two high-schools over my four years as a student and I can confidently say that 90% of all students are conservative.

So the blunt answer to the question of how conservative is Gen-Z, is that the majority of us are. The small sample size of two high-schools and the people I talk to who have connections in various other schools suggest that the majority of the upcoming adults who will be able to vote are conservatives.

Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed: it must be achieved.” We the silent majority are up for the challenges that will come upon us to achieve freedom!
