On Wednesday, President Joe Biden pledged to ban “assault weapons” yet again.
While addressing the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference, he declared that he would secure a ban on assault weapons “come hell or high water.”
As Fox News reports, Biden said, “I know it may make some of you uncomfortable, but that little state above me, Delaware is one of them, has the highest rate, one of the highest rates of gun ownership. But guess what? We’re going to ban assault weapons again come hell or high water. And high capacity magazines.”

For just once, I would LOVE to see a reporter ask the president to define what an assault weapon is. I can almost guarantee his response will be “an AR-15.” Which would finally prove the point (as if it hasn’t been proven already) that Biden has no idea what he’s talking about.
Democrats’ new push for a ban comes after a gunman attacked people on the Michigan State University campus, killing three.
Despite using the tragedy to push his nonsense agenda, having an “assault weapons” ban would not have prevented the MSU shooting from taking place. Just like it would not prevent most of these mass shootings from taking place.
Criminals do not care about the law, obviously. Just because there is a law banning guns doesn’t mean they won’t be able to get one. It just means law-abiding citizens won’t be able to legally own one.
As I have always said, the day that my guns are outlawed is the day I become an outlaw. I will not allow myself, nor my family, to be without protection from the evil, crazy people in this world simply because snowflakes like Biden want to ban guns. And that includes protecting my home from the evil people in government as well. Which is exactly why our forefathers wrote the 2nd Amendment to begin with.
