BREAKING: Ed Martin Confirms DOJ Action on Parent Targeting—PDJA Releases His Letter

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 16, 2025 – Washington, D.C.

Parents Demanding Justice Alliance (PDJA) today released a letter from Edward R. Martin, Jr., Director of the Weaponization Working Group, addressed to one of the many parents targeted after voicing concerns about the treatment of public school children.

The letter, which PDJA has redacted and made public, confirms the U.S. Attorney General’s office is working in partnership with PDJA to investigate the targeting of parents who raised concerns about the safety and education of their children. It underscores a serious commitment by federal authorities to restore due process, pursue accountability, and prosecute those responsible for civil rights violations.

“This is a watershed moment,” said Kelly John Walker, Co-Founder of PDJA. “For four years, parents across the country have been harassed, defamed, and retaliated against for speaking up. Now, the highest levels of justice are moving to correct those wrongs, case by case.”

“We are deeply concerned about parents and parents’ advocates who have been targeted by federal, state or local government or quasi-government officials or entities,” Martin’s letter reads. “For these and other reasons, your situation has drawn my attention, and I respectfully request that you share all relevant documents with me directly.”

Walker added, “Now would be a good time for those—from Biden’s DC, down to local school boards—who participated in this ‘massive fraud against the American people’ to gird up their loins.”

The letter—ostensibly the first among more to come—signals that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Attorney General’s office are actively working to right the abuses that began with Attorney General Merrick Garland’s October 4, 2021 memo—widely criticized for labeling parents as potential domestic terrorists.

“This letter is a shot across the bow,” said Sam Sorbo, PDJA Co-Founder. “For years, parents were smeared as extremists and treated like criminals for defending their children. Today’s action confirms that the Department of Justice is finally taking this abuse seriously—and we will not stop until every parent is vindicated and every perpetrator is held accountable.”

PDJA further announced it is working with its allies to secure a corresponding Executive Order from the Trump administration to permanently safeguard parental rights. The timing is significant, as October 4, 2025 marks the four-year anniversary of the Garland memo that precipitated this national crisis.

“We are Americans,” said Walker. “We do not tolerate tyranny.”
