FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 10, 2025
Washington, D.C. – The Parents Demanding Justice Alliance (PDJA) applauds this week’s memorandum from the Attorney General affirming parental rights and directing federal agencies to protect, rather than punish, concerned parents. This milestone follows PDJA’s relentless advocacy—including meetings at the White House and DOJ, courageous public testimony, and the ongoing Targeted Parents Dossier, which now includes scores of firsthand accounts of families victimized by government abuse.
PDJA notes that this abuse originated at DOJ under the Biden Administration, led by Merrick Garland, which used federal law enforcement and counterterrorism tools to target parents. It is now incumbent upon the Trump Administration’s DOJ to set this right—restoring justice, providing full restitution for the damage done, rebuilding trust, and ensuring these abuses never happen again.
PDJA co-founders Sam Sorbo and Kelly John Walker emphasized the urgency of the next step:
“Today marks a turning point—but we cannot stop here. October 4 is the symbolic and moral moment for President Trump to sign PDJA’s Executive Order, officially vindicating parents, providing restitution, and ending four years of persecution.”
How We Got Here
- In June 2025, PDJA’s leadership met with White House officials, including Domestic Policy Director Vince Haley, delivering documented testimony of federal abuse—lawfare, surveillance, and retaliation—against parents simply for speaking at school board meetings and schools.
- PDJA also met with DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group led by Ed Martin, urging a systemic response to halt ongoing injustice.
- At a July 15, 2025 Capitol Hill Press Conference, sponsored by Rep. Andy Ogles (TN) and headlined by Rep. Andy Biggs (AZ), PDJA formally presented the U.S. Government with its Targeted Parents Dossier featuring scores of families from across the country who have endured arrests, defamation, financial ruin, and surveillance for protecting their children’s upbringing.
- This work directly underpins the DOJ’s renewed focus and lays the foundation for meaningful redress to restore targeted families after having their own government wage war on them in the wake of the Biden administration, and restore trust in the DOJ.
What Comes Next
PDJA is calling on the White House to:
- Host an October 4, 2025 Signing Ceremony — where President Trump will sign our proposed Executive Order that formally vindicates targeted parents.
- Provide Relief & Restitution — covering legal, financial, reputational damage.
- Grant Pardons & Expungement — fully clearing those wrongly prosecuted, including through DOJ’s influence on local prosecutions.
- Ensure Accountability — directing DOJ/OCR to investigate abuses, punish offenders, and prevent recurrence.
“The October 4 signing ceremony won’t just restore faith in justice—it will honor the extraordinary courage of mothers and fathers who defended their kids despite tremendous cost,” said Walker.
“We’ve met with the White House. We’ve compiled the evidence. Now, all that remains is for the President to act, restore, and recognize these families,” added Sorbo.
